Hello, dear Trepids,
It seems that these days our RP forum has turned into the obituaries section for RP-greats who passed away.
About a year ago, Gary Gygax died and now his former partner in game Dave Arneson has joined him.
Together they invented D&D, the game that brought me to Roleplaying and without which I would never have learned English to the level of reasonable mastery I have today. And without this, I would never have left Germany or joined an English MMORG. So in a very real sense Arneson and Gygax are responsible for me being able to meet the wonderful bunch of people that is the Intrepids - so their influence on my life cannot be overestimated!
Dave and Gary, I have never had the chance to meet you, but you both helped me to go out in the world and get to know people I would never have contact with otherwise! For this I owe you more than I could ever say.
Rockjaw has written some very nice lines too in his blog.

Yea i seen this across on the main forums sad days  (on a side note these should probably be in general discussion/announcements as the RP thread was originally for RP stories)
